Cookie Policy

1. Information about this cookie policy

This section provides information about the cookie policy of the Agricamper website, owned by Agricamper s.r.l., in relation to the use of cookies by users.

This document forms an integral part of the Website Privacy Notice at https://www.agricamper.com/privacy-policy/ and of the information provided therein to data subjects pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the Italian Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended), and the “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking technologies – 10 June 2021”, G.U. no. 163 of 9 July 2021.

This information is provided exclusively in relation to the cookies used on the Agricamper website and application, and not for cookies used on external websites that may be reached via links on this site.

The cookie policy may be updated periodically, so we recommend that you consult this document each time you access the site to remain correctly informed about how and why cookies are used.

2. Data controller

The data controller is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is also responsible for data security.

For this website, the data controller is Agricamper s.r.l. For any clarification or to exercise your rights, you can contact us via the contact form available on this website.

3. Cookies

The use of cookies complies with applicable European and national rules, including the e‑Privacy legislation (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC) and the decisions and guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority, in particular the “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking technologies” of 10 June 2021 no. 231.

4. Types of cookies

The Agricamper website uses cookies to make users’ browsing experience easier and more intuitive. Cookies are small strings of text used to store certain information that may relate to the user, their preferences or the device used to access the internet (computer, tablet or mobile phone). They are mainly used to adapt the functioning of the website to the user’s expectations, offering a more personalised browsing experience and storing choices made previously.

A cookie consists of a small amount of data transferred to the user’s browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that carried out the transfer. It is not executable code and does not transmit viruses.

Cookies do not record any directly identifiable personal information, and any identification data will not be stored in cookies. If you wish, you can prevent the storage of some or all cookies. However, if you do so, use of the site and the services offered may be affected. To continue without changing your cookie settings, simply carry on browsing.

This website may use, individually or in combination, the following types of cookies, classified in line with the indications of the Data Protection Authority and opinions issued at European level by the former Article 29 Working Party / EDPB:

  • Session cookies: these are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and are deleted when the browser is closed. They are strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers required to enable safe and efficient browsing and avoid the use of techniques that could compromise user privacy.
  • Persistent cookies: these remain stored on the computer’s hard drive until they expire or are deleted by the user/visitor. Through persistent cookies, visitors who access the site (or other users of the same computer) can be recognised on subsequent visits. Visitors can set their browser to accept or refuse all cookies, or to display a warning whenever a cookie is proposed, allowing them to decide whether to accept it or not. Users can also change the default setting and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently) by setting the highest level of protection.
  • Technical cookies: these are used for purposes such as authentication, using multimedia content (e.g. a video player) or remembering the chosen browsing language. In general, it is not necessary to obtain prior, informed consent from the user for these cookies. This category also includes cookies used solely for statistical analysis of site access/visits, where they are used only for aggregated statistics.
  • Profiling and marketing cookies: these may not be used on users’ devices unless they have first been properly informed and have given valid consent (opt‑in). These cookies can be grouped according to their function as follows:
    • a) Analytics: cookies used to collect and analyse statistical information about access/visits to the website. In some cases, when combined with other information such as login credentials to restricted areas (email address and password), they may be used to profile users (personal habits, websites visited, content downloaded, types of interactions, etc.).
    • b) Widgets: this category includes all user‑interface components that help users interact with a program, such as social network buttons and widgets (e.g. Facebook, Twitter).
    • c) Advertising: cookies used to deliver advertisements within a site (for example, Google or Tradedoubler cookies).

5. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are used solely to enable the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide an information society service explicitly requested by the user (see Article 122(1) of the Italian Data Protection Code).

Technical cookies do not require the user’s prior consent. They are used to allow the site to function and/or to provide the user with a service or function they have expressly requested. These cookies therefore ensure normal navigation and use of the site, enabling user preferences to be saved and optimising browsing. The site uses both first‑party and third‑party technical cookies.

The technical cookies actually used, or which may be used, on the site include:

  • “User input” cookies: session cookies used to keep track of the data the user enters in online forms (for example, during the purchase process for entering shipping or billing details) or, as in the case of a shopping cart, to remember the items selected and added to the cart.
  • Authentication cookies: cookies used to identify the user after login and enable them to authenticate and access content and/or features for which login is required (e.g. purchases, access to their personal area).
  • Other functionality cookies: cookies that enable specific features of the site and store the user’s choices regarding how pages are displayed.
  • “Cookie consent” cookies: cookies that record the user’s consent to the installation of profiling cookies based on one of the actions described in the banner/short notice, recognise returning users so that consent does not need to be requested again, and have a duration of up to 12 months.

6. Third‑party cookies

Based on their source, cookies can be distinguished between those sent to the browser directly from the site being visited (first‑party cookies) and those sent to the user’s device by third parties (third‑party cookies) from sites other than the one being visited.

Persistent cookies are often third‑party cookies. Most third‑party cookies are tracking cookies used to identify online behaviour, understand users’ interests and personalise advertising for them.

7. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies are used to collect statistical information, in aggregated or non‑aggregated form, on the number of users who access a service.

The analytics cookies used by Agricamper are third‑party cookies, as they are issued by third parties rather than directly by us and are therefore not installed directly by Agricamper.

The platform that issues these cookies includes:

Google Analytics
Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Opt‑out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/optout

Third‑party analytics cookies are installed without the user’s prior consent only where they have been configured in a way that reduces their invasiveness, for example by anonymising IP addresses so that the third party cannot access disaggregated analytics data at IP level.

The user can block the installation of analytics cookies at any time without affecting their ability to visit the site or use Agricamper’s services. To learn how to do this, please read the third‑party cookie notices carefully using the links provided above.

8. Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and to send advertising messages that are in line with the preferences shown by the user when browsing online.

Profiling cookies are used to create a user profile based on the preferences and tastes expressed during online browsing, so that the advertising messages displayed will be more relevant to their interests.

When these types of cookies are used, the user’s explicit consent is required and will be requested via the cookie banner as soon as the user accesses the site.

In this context, Article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Article 122 of the Italian Data Protection Code and Decision no. 231 of 10 June 2021 of the Data Protection Authority apply.

9. How to disable cookies

On your first visit to our site, you can accept all cookies by clicking the “OK” button, the “X” (close) button in the banner, or any element of the web page outside the banner.

On subsequent visits, or in any other case, you can access this Cookie Policy via the “Cookie Policy” link in the footer of the homepage and refuse consent to the installation of cookies.

You can also disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers are configured by default to accept cookies automatically, but you can choose not to receive them, especially in cases where a third party does not provide a proper opt‑out mechanism, by accessing your browser settings and disabling their use. For more information, please see:

If your browser is not listed, please refer to the relevant cookie information provided by the browser itself. If you use a mobile device, please consult the user manual for more information.

After disabling cookies via your browser settings, you should also delete any cookies already stored before the change.

Third‑party cookies can also be disabled using the methods made available directly by the third‑party controller, as indicated in the “Third‑party cookies” section.

To see which cookies are stored on your device and disable them individually, you can visit www.youronlinechoices.com.
Once on that site, in the “Your ad choices” area you can:

  • View a list of third‑party companies that install cookies on our site.
  • Check whether a cookie is active (Status) and manage consent selectively (On/Off).
  • Access more detailed information on each company and its privacy and cookie policies via the provided links.

10. Social network interaction

This site also incorporates plugins and/or buttons for social networks to enable easy sharing of content on your favourite social platforms. These plugins are programmed so that no cookies are set when the page is loaded, in order to protect users’ privacy. Cookies may be set, if so provided by the social networks, only when the user voluntarily uses the plugin. Please note that if you browse while logged into a social network, you have already consented to the use of cookies transmitted via this site when you registered with the social network.

These services allow interaction with social networks or other external platforms directly from Agricamper’s pages.

Interactions and information acquired by Agricamper are subject to the user’s privacy settings for each social network. Where a social network interaction service is installed, it is possible that the service collects traffic data for the pages on which it is installed, even if users do not use the service.

Examples include:

11. Your rights

In line with the GDPR and UK GDPR, in relation to the processing of your personal data you have the right to request from the Controller:

  • Access: to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and further information about such processing.
  • Rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed.
  • Erasure: to have your data deleted where they are no longer necessary for our purposes, where you withdraw consent or object to processing, where processing is unlawful, or where deletion is required by law, including for data relating to minors in breach of applicable rules.
  • Restriction: to limit processing to storage only, excluding other processing, for the period necessary to verify the accuracy of your data, in case of unlawful processing where you oppose erasure, where you need the data for legal claims, or while we assess an objection you have raised.
  • Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw your consent at any time where consent is the legal basis for processing. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting Agricamper s.r.l. via the contact form available on this website.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (“Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali”) or, if you are in the UK, with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), if you believe your rights have been infringed by Agricamper and/or a third party or if you are not satisfied with our response to your requests.
